“That every child has the right to rest and leisure, to engage in play and recreational activities appropriate to the age of the child, and to participate freely in cultural life and the arts.
K.R. Mangalam Global school stands to support the right of the child and promotes it by creating inviting learning spaces that support exploration, creativity, role-play, and student wonderings. The collaborative indoor spaces such as Voyages room, Reggio Atelier, Township, Indoor Gymnasium, Junkyard, Montessori etc. are created keeping in mind our student’s needs and interest. The school has also been mindful of the red days such as days with high pollution, rainy days, hot days, etc. which would prevent the students to go out and explore.
Along with the structured timetable, children also get time during the day to work in these collaborative spaces that will help them to express themselves and interact with their peers freely. While working in these collaborative spaces, students will develop different skills and display their creativity and problem-solving skills.
The role of learning spaces at K.R Mangalam Global School ensures a positive learning community that becomes the hub of creativity and ideas. Thus, helping Mangalites learn positive skills such as working collaboratively, communicating effectively, critical thinking, and problem-solving. This further creates a harmonious community that fosters the holistic growth and development of all our learners.
Rushton (2011) shares, a stimulating, positive learning spaces where students have freedom to explore reduces stress and promotes flexibility and creativity among learners.
